Law Enforcement Accreditation

The Bensenville Police Department is an accredited agency at both the state level, through ILEAP (Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program) and at the national level, through CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement). The purpose of accreditation is to maintain the highest level of public safety services, by maintaining the most current policies and procedures that are vetted and tested and ensuring these policies and procedures are adhered to. Accreditation ensures our agency is reviewed and analyzed by these unbiased and objective institutions annually.
