Irving Park Rd Streetscape Project Phase III
PROJECT SCOPE
This Fall the Village will continue efforts to improve one of the major vibrant business corridors within the Village of Bensenville limits. The Village will be undertaking Phase III of the streetscape improvement project along portions of Irving Park Road. Previously, the Village completed Phase I & II of a multiple phased construction project with decorative streetlights and stamped colored sidewalk.
Phase III construction activities include installing a seven-foot-wide stamped concrete sidewalk along the north side of Irving Park Road from Church Road to west of Addison Street. The scope of work also includes installation of new driveway aprons (where disturbed by sidewalk improvements), structure adjustments, retaining wall replacement, and spot curb and gutter repairs.
During construction, traffic will be maintained with daily lane closures and flaggers. Only the immediate works zone area will be closed during working hours. The project is expected to be substantially completed by late October 2023, with final completion and landscape restoration completed by November 30, 2023
