Please visit our web-site at www.bensenville.il.us and click on the ONLINE PAYMENTS link, then on the utility bills link, and then simply enter your account number and customer number (Customer ID) in order to make a debit or credit card payment. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

Automatic Bank Draft

Automatic Bank Draft is a direct debit from your checking or savings account.

To Apply for Automatic Bank Draft Simply complete the Automatic Bank Draft Application (PDF) and return it along with a voided check or savings deposit slip. Please pay your bill via traditional means until you see a notation on your bill stating that your bill will be drafted.

Draft Date:
Your checking or savings account will be debited on the due date of the bill. When you receive your water bill, please review it. If you have questions or need to discuss your bill, please contact us no less then 10 business days before the due date to resolve the charges before the draft occurs.

Funds Availability:
If we are unable to directly debit your banking account due to insufficient funds, account closed, or other problems at the stated financial institution, you will be assessed a $15 NSF (non sufficient fund) fee in addition to any late penalties charged.

Changes to Draft:
Notify the Village of Bensenville if you change your bank and/or your bank account number. Failure to notify the Village of any changes could result in late charges plus an assessment of $15 NSF (non sufficient fund) fee.

Draft Termination:
Your auto draft will remain in effect unless we receive a draft termination application (PDF) from you 10 business days prior to the next scheduled billing date or until you move. A separate application for auto draft must be completed for each water service address (water account number).

Please allow a minimum of 7 business days if you choose to mail your payment and a minimum of 14 business days if you make online payments through your bank (Online payments through your bank are mailed to us by your bank).
  
Please make sure to include the remit portion of your bill and remember to sign your check. Please do not tape, fold or staple the remit portion of your bill or the check.
