Tree City USA

The National Arbor Day Foundation has named the Village of Bensenville a “TREE CITY USA”. This designation is a confirmation of the Village of Bensenville’s commitment to preserving its trees. The National Arbor Day Foundation recognizes those communities that effectively manage their public tree resources. In order to be named a TREE CITY USA, a community must meet four standards that provide structure for a community forestry program, require that the program demonstrate success based on the state forester’s judgment, and provide for an awareness and appreciation of trees among the residents of the community.

In the year 2021, the Village received this distinction for the 30th year!

You may contact the Village of Bensenville’s Public Works Forestry Division at 1-630-350-3435 for more information.
