When the Village President Frank DeSimone took office a year ago, he was approached by the residents of White Pines to develop a comprehensive plan to finally address the White Pines water system issues. As you may be aware, much of the White Pines water system dates back to the 1940s and has become functionally obsolete. We have spent the last year working with staff to put a program together that will address the project in a fair and equitable way. The Village intends to apply for the IEPA loan in the fall of 2018 to secure the funds to carry out the water main replacement project. The project will begin once the IEPA loan have been approved.
Bensenville will be modernizing the system that delivers water safely and reliably to your neighborhood and we want to keep you informed of our work. Highlighted below will be the major steps involved in the project and the options available to residents of the White Pines.
