The Illinois Tollway is hosting an informational meeting about the Illinois Route 390 Tollway Project on Thursday May 12 from 4-7 Pm at the Elk Grove Village Hall Room E. The Illinois Tollway is moving forward in 2016 with roadway construction on the eastern segment of the new Illinois Route 390 Tollway from I-290 to Illinois Route 83, including completion of the frontage roads along Illinois Route 390 and construction of new interchanges at Wood Dale Road and Illinois Route 83. In addition, in 2016, work will continue on the I-290 Interchange at Illinois Route 390.
Community members and local businesses are encouraged to attend the meeting not only to learn more about upcoming construction, but also for information about the start of cashless tolling on Illinois Route 390 from Lake Street to I-290 beginning on July 5, as well as the ongoing land acquisition and design process for the Elgin O’Hare Western Access Project.
The meeting will be in an open house format with Tollway staff on hand to explain the project and answer any questions.
